  • To promote the development and use of transportation and transportation related systems that incorporate OMG specifications and technologies.
  • To establish a global forum for the free exchange of distributed object systems development ideas amongst the various members of the transportation community and its partners.
  • To establish a series of distributed object or component specifications based upon a Transportation Object Model that allow participation of system components constructed by different sources to interoperate in completing various transportation business domain scenarios.
